Beef Sliders with Cheddar (Printable Version)

Mini beef patties topped with melted cheddar cheese on soft slider buns, ideal for gatherings.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Beef Patties

01 - 1.1 lbs ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
02 - 1 tsp salt
03 - 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
04 - 1/2 tsp garlic powder
05 - 1/2 tsp onion powder

→ Cheese & Buns

06 - 8 slices cheddar cheese
07 - 8 slider buns

→ Toppings

08 - 8 small lettuce leaves
09 - 8 slices tomato
10 - 8 slices pickles
11 - 1/4 small red onion, thinly sliced

→ Condiments

12 - 2 tbsp ketchup
13 - 2 tbsp yellow mustard
14 - 2 tbsp mayonnaise

# Directions:

01 - In a bowl, gently mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Do not overmix to maintain texture.
02 - Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape into small patties, slightly larger than the buns to account for shrinkage during cooking.
03 - Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
04 - Cook patties for 2–3 minutes on one side until browned. Flip, top each with cheddar slice, and cook another 2–3 minutes until cheese melts and patties reach desired doneness.
05 - Lightly toast slider buns on the grill or in a toaster for added texture.
06 - Spread condiments on buns, layer with lettuce, beef patty with melted cheddar, tomato, pickles, and onion. Top with remaining bun half.
07 - Serve immediately while hot.

# Top Tips:

01 -
  • The 80/20 beef blend creates juicy, flavor-packed patties that never dry out
  • Everything comes together in under 30 minutes with zero fancy techniques
  • Slider sized portions mean everyone can customize their own perfect bite
02 -
  • Never press down on the patties while they cook, or all those precious juices will escape onto the griddle
  • Let the patties rest for just 2 minutes off the heat before assembling so the juices redistribute throughout the meat
  • Room temperature beef cooks more evenly, so take it out of the fridge 20 minutes before you start mixing
03 -
  • Dimple the center of each patty slightly with your thumb to prevent them from puffing into balls while cooking
  • Season your patties right before cooking rather than mixing salt into the meat for a better crust
