St Patricks Mint Chocolate Bark (Printable Version)

Minty chocolate bark swirled with white chocolate and topped with green candies and sprinkles.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Chocolate Base

01 - 10.5 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped or chips
02 - 7 oz white chocolate, chopped or chips

→ Flavoring

03 - 1 tsp peppermint extract, divided

→ Toppings

04 - 1/4 cup green M&Ms or mint candies, roughly chopped
05 - 2 tbsp green sprinkles
06 - 1 tbsp mini chocolate chips (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
02 - Melt the semisweet chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water, stirring until smooth. Alternatively, microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring each time. Stir in 1/2 tsp peppermint extract.
03 - Pour the melted semisweet chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even rectangle approximately 9x12 inches.
04 - Melt the white chocolate using the same method as the semisweet chocolate. Stir in the remaining 1/2 tsp peppermint extract.
05 - Drop spoonfuls of the melted white chocolate over the semisweet base. Use a skewer or knife to swirl the two chocolates together, creating a marbled pattern.
06 - Immediately sprinkle the green M&Ms or mint candies, green sprinkles, and mini chocolate chips evenly across the surface while the chocolate is still soft.
07 - Gently press the toppings into the chocolate to ensure they adhere properly.
08 - Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until the chocolate is completely firm and set.
09 - Break or cut into irregular pieces and serve immediately or store for later enjoyment.

# Top Tips:

01 -
  • The whole process takes less than 20 minutes but looks like you spent hours planning something impressive.
  • You can customize the toppings for literally any holiday just by swapping sprinkles and candy colors.
  • The mint and chocolate combo hits that perfect sweet spot between refreshing and rich.
02 -
  • Overheating white chocolate causes it to seize into a grainy mess that cannot be saved—remove it from heat before it looks fully melted.
  • If your marble technique feels messy on the first try, keep going—the broken swirl effect often looks more artistic anyway.
  • This bark develops better flavor if it sits overnight, so consider making it a day ahead for serving.
03 -
  • Room temperature chocolate will melt fingerprints into your beautiful surface, so handle it quickly or wear latex gloves.
  • If your chocolate layer seems too thick, it will not break cleanly—aim for about ¼ inch thickness for the best snap.
